Michigan juniors drawing interest

Jackson, Mich., juniors David Jansen and Spencer Chauncey are coming off fine seasons and recruiters have noticed.
The 6-foot-2 and 210 pound Jansen led Jackson in tackles from his inside linebacker spot with 127. For his work he was named all-conference.

The 6-foot-0 and 180 pound Chauncey, whose father Jim Chauncey played for Notre Dame in the early 70's, was an honorable mention all-conference selection as a strong safety.
"David has had some feelers from Purdue and Indiana I think," Jackson coach Jack Fairly said. "Those two schools come to mind. And then a lot of MAC schools.
"Spencer is drawing interest from Cornell, Penn, Purdue, and Western Michigan I think. Those are schools I've heard from. Spencer is a late bloomer with a big upside.
"David has a very good work ethic. His older brother Jeff had some MAC offers, but went to Michigan as a walk-on."
