Michigan DL has two offers

Birmingham (Mich.) Brother Rice defensive end Jim Plaskey is the type of player that shows you how deep the talent pool is in Michigan. The 6-foot-4, 250-pounder already has two scholarship offers on the table, but his name hasn't been mentioned a whole lot when talking about the top players in the state.
But maybe it should.

Plaskey had 103 tackles, including 59 solo stops, in 2006. He also recorded seven tackles for a loss and two sacks to go along with his 4.9-second time in the 40-yard dash.
"Northwestern, Army, Air Force, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Western Michigan, Bowling Green, Buffalo and Miami of Ohio are the teams that have been sending me the most stuff," Plaskey said. "I have offers from Air Force and from Army. Air Force wants me as an offensive lineman but Army just said a lineman in general. I'd prefer defense."
Plaskey said from that group, Northwestern, Central Michigan, Air Force and Western Michigan standout.
He just recently returned from a camp stop at Central Michigan. He'll also check out Eastern Michigan, Western Michigan, Bowling Green and Miami for their camps, too.
"I'll probably wait to commit until the end of the season before I commit anywhere," he said. "Education will be important to me, along with winning football games and location. I'm looking at political science or advertising."
Plaskey said he's working harder to become a more well rounded player, too.
"My offensive line skills are things I'm working hard on this summer," he said. "I played defensive line all last year, and I want to work more on my skills on the other side of the ball."
