Michigan back wants Miami offer

Birmingham (Mich.) Brother Rice running back Caulton Ray has had a busy spring. He's gotten quite a few scholarship offers and new schools are showing him more and more interest each week.
"Right now I have offers from Bowling Green, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, and lately I've been talking a lot to Nebraska, Miami and Michigan State," Ray, who is 5-foot-9 and 195 pounds, said.

"I pretty much know I want to go to Miami, but I have other schools in mind like Michigan State. That's my top school though, Miami."
Ray said he's been a long-time fan of the Canes.
"I just like the whole program," he said."I like the team. I know they got the academics part down, which is very important. I like their coaches. I like their offense and what they do. If Miami offered then I would take a visit and look around the campus. Then I would probably end up committing there."
But if it doesn't, then what?
"Maybe Michigan State if they offer or maybe Nebraska," he said. "I'll just look at whoever I have interest in."
Ray rushed for 1,110 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2006. He has big goals in 2007.
"I just want to be able to help lead the team," he said. "I want to run hard and stack some stats up. Then just lead my team to the state championship."
Ray does think he's got what it takes to be a high level running back.
"My vision is the best thing about my game," he said. "I feel like I have really good vision. I don't really miss holes a lot. I can find a seam real quick and I can hit it real fast. That's why I love the single back offense because I can get the ball and everything is in front of me so I can just hit it."
