Michel calls it for Rams

Steven Michel had a completely new experience when he visited Colorado State this past weekend. It was the first time he flew in an airplane and the first time he was out of the state of Florida.
The trip apparently went extremely well because the Orlando (Fla.) Jones outside linebacker said Tuesday night that he decided to make his commitment before leaving Fort Collins.

At first, Michel said he wanted to return home to talk over his decision with his family but the 6-foot-1, 200-pound prospect said he couldn't wait. Before he left Colorado State, Michel told the coaching staff that he wanted to make his pledge.
"I needed a change and this opens up a lot of new horizons for me," Michel said.
"I loved everything about Colorado State. I had a good relationship with the coaching staff, I just really liked everything out there and I decided to commit. I talked to my family and they said if I felt like it was the best thing to do then they fully support my decision."
Florida Atlantic and Jacksonville were also involved with Michel, who finished with about 50 tackles and five sacks in his senior season.
Soon after his visit, Michel raved about everything he saw at Colorado State and predicted that he'd probably commit. It became clear that the Rams were close to landing another prospect. Michel finished it off right before he left.
"Colorado State is the best fit for me," Michel said. "I'll have a lot of opportunities there and I'm happy that I visited."
