Rivals250 prospect John Campbell had one of the longest offer sheets of any player at the Orlando Rivals Camp on Sunday. The Orlando (Fla.) Dr. Phillips offensive lineman did shorten his list to 12 and is working on narrowing his focus.

IN HIS OWN WORDS…

“I don’t have any favorites right now,” Campbell said. “I’m just keeping all my 12 schools even. I talk to Tennessee, Miami, Alabama, Auburn, Florida, and basically all the schools in my top 12 a lot.

“I should be at Miami on Wednesday until Saturday,” he said. “They’re a great coaching staff. Coach Dugans, coach Searls, and coach Richt show great energy and bring a lot to the table. They’ve been dong really well recruiting since they got Lorenzo Lingard. A lot more top recruits are thinking about going there because they think they have a chance to well in the next few years. They’re working hard to recruit me.

“Florida shows great energy too,” Campbell said. “There is a family feel there. They say I could play early. I’ll have a chance to compete for a starting position when I would get there. I’m close with coach Seider, coach Davis and coach Mac.

“I’m not sure about my next visits,” he said. “I’m definitely going to be taking my five official visits. Those might come during the season.”

RIVALS’ REACTION

Campbell had a good showing at the camp on Sunday and it’s clear why so many teams want him. Miami has a chance to really move up his list with a multi-day visit coming up. Florida has been on Campbell for a long time and is positioned to be a factor for the long haul. Look out for Tennessee here as well but it looks like Campbell could end up staying in-state for college.
