Miami TE might say yes

Miami Carol City tight end Laenar Nixon's father, Fred Nixon, played at Oklahoma from 1976-1979. So when Laenar was offered a scholarship by the Sooners last week, was it tough to say no?
"Oklahoma officially offered me about a week and a half ago," Nixon said. "I was so tempted to just commit on the spot. My father really wants me to go to Oklahoma, but he always wants what is best for me.

"So, I'm going to take my visit this weekend to OU and see if it is the best for me."
And if it is?
"I could be a Sooner," Nixon said.
And if it isn’t?
“Then I’m going to still take my time and do some thinking,” he said.
Nixon has reduced his list to three teams either way – Virginia Tech, OU and Miami. He’s been offered by Virginia Tech and visited back on Nov. 30. He said Miami has shown hot and cold interest with him and hasn’t offered at this point.
“I still really like Virginia Tech and the way it uses the tight end,” Nixon said.
“That’s one thing that I really want to look at when I go to Oklahoma. I want to watch some film and examine how they use their tight ends. I’d like to play for a school that uses the tight ends just as much as pass receivers as they are run blockers.”
