Miami sleeper hoping for big season

One prospect many have never heard of, but should keep an eye on this fall is Miami (Fla.) Norland wide receiver/cornerback Ahmad Bowleg. He had an impressive showing at the Miami NIKE camp in early April and could pick up offers with a big senior season.
“Right now I do not have any offers,” Bowleg said. “I have been getting a bunch of letters, but the schools that send the most are the same ones that called in May. The schools that called in May were Louisiana-Lafayette, Oklahoma State and Western Michigan.”

Bowleg came in at 5-foot-10, 167 pounds at the Miami NIKE camp. He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds, the shuttle in 4.37 seconds, did 10 reps on the bench press and had a 33.6-inch vertical jump.
“The main schools I am looking at are Central Florida, LSU and Oklahoma State,” Bowleg said. “I want to go to a good program academically and one that is good in football too. I just want the school to appeal to me and I also hope they have the field I am majoring in.”
In addition to the NIKE camp, he attended team camps at Miami and LSU and also the D-1 camp. He stated that he does 315 pounds eight times on squat, but is unsure of his max.
“I play wide receiver and defensive back and I am getting recruited for both in college,” Bowleg said. “I would prefer to play wide receiver, but if a school wants me to play defensive back I would definitely do it.”
