"It was great," Martin said of the game. "The fans were crazy on both sides. I loved it overall because the passion of the game."
Martin said he talks often with Miami wide receiver coach Brennan Carroll. The 2015 Rivals250 to Watch presented by Under Armour prospect is planning to take a trip to the Coral Gables campus to see the school for the first time.
This summer he attended the Jimbo Fisher Camp at Florida State. After leaving Tallahassee, he named FSU as his leader and he said they are still leading for now. He wants to check out the Noles-Gators game at the end of the year.
Martin didn't have a dream school growing up and said was always open to any college. His favorite NFL receiver is Santonio Holmes. Martin is related to Holmes and tries to watch him on television when he can.
Even though Florida State is his leader, he said other schools are recruiting him harder.
"West Virginia and Miami are recruiting me hard," stated Martin. "But Miami is coming up a little harder than West Virginia. Georgia has been sending me a lot of mail."
The four-star prospect said playing time will be an important factor in his decision. He wants to see the field as early as possible.
"I'm a playmaker," remarked Martin. "I don't want to be sitting behind anyone waiting. I don't want to have my talent on the sideline. I want to put my talent to use."
As a junior, he caught 52 passes for 926 yards and nine touchdowns en route to all-county honors.
