Miami offers junior Tampa receiver

Well, he didn't have to wait long. Andre Davis always wanted to play for the Miami Hurricanes. Earlier this week (Tuesday) was the first day college football programs could officially offer juniors. On Wednesday Davis got offers from Florida State and Florida International. Yesterday he received one from South Florida. Then earlier today he got his big one, from the 'Canes.
"I got an offer from Miami," Davis said via text message. "I was very surprised. When my coach first showed me I didn't even think it was true."

On Tuesday Davis claimed Miami was his leader. So this only increases the chances for Randy Shannon and the Hurricanes.
"I want to go to Miami. That's my leader. I have talked with a couple of their coaches and their scouting guy. I will try and get down there for a game. I like their program overall. The school is nice and it's a private school."
Davis, 6-1 and 180 pounds, will be one of the most sought after wide receiver prospects from the Sunshine State. Tonight, he and his Tampa Jefferson teammates take on Hillsborough.
