MORE: Tampa ATH McCloud talks favorites
Richard McIntosh, Jr. of Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Cardinal Gibbons is a talented basketball player that helped lead his team to a 19-4 as a junior. But he's also making a name for himself on the gridiron, where he is beginning to become a force for opposing quarterbacks - and colleges are taking notice.

The hometown Hurricanes were the first school to extend a verbal offer. McIntosh was more than happy to get the good news from his childhood favorite.
"It was exciting to pick it up early," he said. "I feel real good about it. If I go to Miami, it would be a very big step in my life. I'm definitely thinking about it."
McIntosh said defensive backs Paul Williams is recruiting him for the 'Canes. He is working to build a relationship with Williams and he plans on reaching out to the assistant coach when he his schedule lets up a bit.
Last summer, he attended a basketball camp at Florida State and he said the FSU football coaches know who he is, but they aren't actively recruiting him at the moment. West Virginia came by in the spring to check him out and he is hoping to see more schools this fall.
Although he only holds one offer, he called UM his favorite. His family is also high on Miami and the possibility of him staying close to home is a major plus for them.
"I don't know my sophomore stats, but I did well," McIntosh said of Cardinal Gibbons' 5-0 start.
I'm getting bigger, faster, and stronger and I'm just a better player than I was last year. "
