Miami of Ohio commit knew right away

Strongsville, Ohio, two-star defensive end Mark Paun committed to Miami of Ohio quite some time ago, and it's a decision the 6-foot-3, 235-pounder does not regret one bit.
"Miami was always on my short list," Paun said. "When the process started, I had about six schools that were recruiting me heavily, including people like Boston College, Army and Akron. But when they came to the table with an early offer, and I saw how great it was, there was no reason to hold back.

"I told them Miami was always where I wanted to go, so I went ahead and committed."
Paun, who could play defensive end, defensive tackle or nose guard in college, said he was recruited by Matt Hohman for the Red Hawks.
"He's just a great guy," Paun said. "He's sharp and knows what he's doing. I've had a good time getting to know him. I'm going to take my visit up there on December 2."
Puan wasn't sure about what his senior season stats were, but did admit they were kind of lower this season because he moved around from end and tackle quite a bit this season.
"I think that versatility really helped me, though," he said. "That'll get me ready for college quicker."
