Miami DT heating up

Miami Central standout Bryan Pata has been listed as a Miami commitment since June. But now that recruiting has started to heat up, he’s decided to expand his options – somewhat.
“I’m still all about Miami,” Pata, who is 6-foot-4, 260 pounds and ranked as the nation’s No. 12 defensive tackle, said. “But I think I’m going to take some other visits. List me as a soft commitment or that I’m open now.”

Pata is open between Miami, Rutgers, Florida and Oklahoma. He claims to have offers from all of the teams on his list.
“I like them all,” he said. “They’re all very good schools. I want to see what they’re like on visits and then try to make some sort of final decision.”
Rutgers gets an official visits on December 13 after he decided this weekend to take the SAT that is being offered. Florida is tentitvely scheduled for December 20 and Miami and Oklahoma are expecting January official visits.
Pata said he still is maintaining a 2.5 grade-point average but has yet to reach his qualifying test score. He said he has not received any in-home visits yet from coaches.
