Miami DE has a short list

Miami (Fla.) Norland defensive end Gary Watts is not one of the biggest guys at his position, but he is a tenacious rushing end, with a good frame to grow.
“I have written offers from Pittsburgh, Akron and South Florida and verbal offers from Florida State and Oklahoma State,” Watts said. “I am getting attention from a lot of other schools too, but I would say those are the ones recruiting me the hardest at this point.”

The 6-foot-3, 215-pound Watts will likely grow into his frame and become a defensive end in college, but the possibility for him to play linebacker with his 4.7 second 40-yard dash speed.
“My favorite schools are Pittsburgh, South Florida and Florida State,” Watts said. “I would say that Pittsburgh and South Florida have my attention the most right now, but I like Florida State a lot too. They just aren’t recruiting me as hard as the other two.”
Though Watts has somewhat of a small list of favorites don’t expect him to make a decision anytime soon.
“I want to take all of my visits and I will announce my decision on signing day,” Watts said. “I want to go to school in a place that has a good learning environment. I want to go somewhere with good people and a good coaching staff around me.”
