Miramar (Fla.) Parkway Academy cornerback Kevin Holloway is spending most of this week catching up on sleep. That's because last week he attended three major camps at Alabama, Auburn and Florida, where he was one of the best defensive backs in attendance at all of them.
"The Florida camp was real fun, it was my second time up there," Holloway said. "I had a chance to talk to some of the coaches and I hung out with Ricky Gary from Pahokee for a while.
Auburn was fun and I talked with the defensive backs coach for a while. We went through drills, but we didn't get to do one on ones because of rain. At Alabama I had two interceptions during one on ones. I go to go through the drills and tested well. I talked to the recruiting coordinator and coach Ball for a while."
The 5-foot-8, 153-pound Holloway tore up the Miami NIKE camp in April where he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.35 seconds, had a 4.12 second shuttle, posted a 37-inch vertical jump and did 15 reps on the bench press.
"Florida is definitely one of my favorites," Holloway said. "I like Wisconsin, Georgia Tech, West Virginia, Rutgers, Auburn and Alabama too. I really don't have a leader, but I'm trying to narrow things down."
Holloway will attend camp at Rutgers on June 28 and will also head up to Atlanta to camp at Georgia Tech in July.
"I didn't pick up any offers this past weekend, but I had a lot of promising talks with coaches," Holloway said. "I think I impressed some people and they have all be recruiting me hard already so maybe this will help me earn an offer from them."
