Miami commit to visit Utah

Last weekend, Miami (Fla.) Booker T. Washington defensive back Nigel Bethel II attended the Hurricanes-Gators game along with over one hundred reported recruits.
Bethel II committed to Miami in late July following a trip to Florida State. This week he will be in Salt Lake City for an official visit to Utah. The feisty cover man is being recruited by Utes offensive coordinator and former 'Canes head coach Dennis Erickson.

"I'm just going with my teammates, nothing much," stated Bethel II. "Deltron Hopkins wanted me and Lamar Parker to go up there with him."
The four-star prospect says he is 100% committed to Miami. Coach Erickson has done a good job recruiting him for the Pac-12 program.
He noted, "I have a strong relationship with Coach Erickson. I could see myself playing for him if he was still at Miami."
As a junior, Bethel II recorded 30 tackles and two interceptions. He added a pick up and a couple of pass break-ups to help his team win the Class 4A state title.
