Miami commit Jobe still exploring his options

ATLANTA -- Miami commit Josh Jobe’s options remain cracked open. The class of 2018 prospect acknowledges his pledge to the hometown team. He picked the Hurricanes for a reason and has a good relationship with the staff.At the same time, however, he has his eyes on a handful of other schools.

“I like Alabama, LSU, Michigan and, of course, Miami,” Jobe said. “I’m just looking around at some options and we’ll see. I’ll take a harder look after I take some visits."

Jobe, a highly regarded defensive back, plays high school football at Miami Columbus High School. He is high school teammates with Oklahoma commit Trajan Bandy, a 2017 prospect Miami is working hard to pry away from the Sooners.

IN HIS WORDS: “I have camp visits coming up at Florida State and Ohio State for sure,” Jobe said. “I’m not sure if I’m going to do this Florida State one next week. I might wait until later in the summer.”

RIVALS REACTION: Jobe’s pledge to Miami is under pressure. In the end, his status with the Hurricanes may come down to how the team performs on the field this fall. As his offer list continues to grow, Miami’s grasp on Jobe will probably loosen. That’s not to say he is destined to break his commitment. It’s just to say that there’s likely a battle ahead.
