Metroplex LB on the board

Sleeper linebacker Will Shoppa of Fort Worth (Texas) All Saints has picked up his first offer and taken his first official trip of the year to Rice this past weekend.
The 6-foot-2, 213-pound prospect that fell under the radar compared to other defensive prospects across the state, is on the board with an offer and his first official visit went well. However, nothing is done just yet.

"I'm still trying to figure it all out, but the visit went really good," Shoppa said. "They showed us around the school, the academic side of it, we saw the facilities, and I got to know the coaching staff."
Shoppa says that Rice is his favorite, but is not ready to make a decision just yet.
"I like that once you graduate you have the Rice degree that can take you as far as you want to go," he said. "Plus, I think they're turning the athletics around and they're going to bust this thing wide open soon."
Two other schools are also in the hat as possible options.
"I'm not really sure about a decision or visits," he said. "I have been talking to SMU and Colorado State. I don't know yet if they're going to offer. I'm just kind of talking to them and waiting to see where that goes."
