Metroplex DB brings the energy

Arlington (Texas) Bowie cornerback Ver'Neil Moore is one of the better defensive backs in the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex. And with him still looking for his first scholarship offer, the 5-foot-9, 165-pounder is going to go out there and prove it this year and this week in his season opener against Corsicana.
“I’m a lot more intense than what I was last year,” Moore said. “I’m more fired up all the time, and I’m more active emotionally. I’m just never going to stop yelling, screaming or doing what it takes to help my team out.”

So what type of defender is he?
“I’m not much of a hitter, but they’ll go down when I make the tackle,” he said. “I’m better at man-to-man coverage. That’s what I’m best at.”
Moore is getting regular attention from Arkansas and Oklahoma State. He hopes to get more attention from LSU, which called him in May, when the college coaches can call on September 1.
“I’m so focused on my season right now that it’s tough to get caught up in recruiting,” he said. “But I know that’s something I’m going to have to think about soon.”
