Merritt, Williams honored

Richard Merritt and Jauan Williams, seniors from Archbishop Carroll High School were presented their honorary game jerseys at the American Family Insurance Selection Tour for the 2016 Under Armour All-America High School Football Game at Archbishop Carroll High School in Washington today. The event was part of the three-month American Family Insurance Selection Tour for the Under Armour All-America Game.
Merritt and Williams are two of more than 90 players selected to compete in the ninth-annual Under Armour All-America Game presented by American Family Insurance, a nationally televised competition spotlighting the country's top high school seniors. The 2016 Under Armour All-America Game is slated for Saturday, Jan. 2 and will be televised live on ESPN2.

"It's such an honor," said Merritt. "It's something I wanted to do when I first watched the game 10 years ago. I was six and I told my dad I was going to work hard to be an Under Armour All-American. It's an honor to be selected."
"It means a lot," said Williams. "I feel successful being invited to play in the Under Armour All-America Game. It's a great accomplishment to be one of the 90 players from around the country invited. This also means a lot for our school to have two Under Armour All-Americans."
