Memphis WR torn about schools

Memphis (Tenn.) Evangelical Christian wide receiver Casey Hill knows that he is facing a unique dilemma, and that his college choice may be made upon factors that most players in his position wouldn’t usually consider.
“Stanford is still my number one choice right now, but I’m still looking at Tennessee and Vandy,” Hill said. “I’m also not ruling out the Ivy League schools, like Harvard and Princeton, just because they’re academics are so strong. I’m really struggling to decide what I want to base my decision on, whether my main focus should be football or academics.”

Hill has offers from all of his potential destinations, and says that in addition to the Ivy Leagues, another dark horse school could get his consideration.
“I think it’d be really fun to play in the offense that Coach Meyer [Utah head coach Urban] has going out there in Utah,” he said. “I think I’ll probably take a visit out there to check out the school and the program, but I think that’d be fun. I really do like Stanford though, because I like the coaches there, the offense they run and the campus. As far as deciding between football and academics, Stanford has both Pac-10 football and the country’s best academics. So that would be covered.
“I always grew up a huge Tennessee fan, though, and playing in front of 107,000 people would be hard to bear. But I know that there are other things beside football, too. I was at Vanderbilt for the Rutgers game, and I really liked it. It’s a great school, close to home, and I liked it even though they should have won that game.”
As far as Evangelical Christian’s season goes, Hill said that the team has some unfinished business, and a goal he’s had his eye on since the eighth grade.
“I’m really trying to focus on our last few games,” Hill said. “We play Knoxville Webb on Friday, and the winner of that game goes to state. Hopefully we’ll make it, because I’ve never been. When I was in eighth grade we made it to the finals for the second year-in-a-row, and we won it. I’d really like to do that.”
