Memphis WR picks SEC school

Memphis (Tenn.) University High receiver David Thompson has made up his mind. And he's heading across the state line to play in the SEC.
"I committed to Arkansas earlier today," Thompson, a 6-foot-3, 180-pounder, said.

"I'm a 100 percent Razorback. The coaches are great there. The fans are even better. My heart was just there."
That was especially true after this weekend. Thompson was at the Florida-Auburn game, but he couldn't help but want to be at the Arkansas-South Carolina game.
"I was in Auburn, but really kept thinking about Arkansas," he said. "I should have been there for that. I would have liked to commit to them in person and that would have been the icing on the cake for coach Nutt."
Thompson said Auburn finished No. 2 on his list, but he was also interested in Stanford.
"I'm hoping to go in there and make an early impact," Thompson said. "Coach Nutt always told me that they need more firepower on offense, and I hope to give them a spark."
