Memphis WR has four on top

HOOVER, Ala.- There are four teams currently in the running for Memphis (Tenn.) Wooddale wide receiver Roderick Davis.
"Recruiting is going very well right now," he said. "Tennessee, Auburn, Ole Miss and Texas Tech are the four schools I am looking at. You could say those are my top four."

Is there a leader for the 6-foot, 192-pounder?
"There is no leader at this time," he said. "I am looking at all four colleges at this time."
He hopes to visit all four finalists.
"I should visit all of them," he said.
Davis talked about why each school was in his top four.
Tennessee: "I like their coaches, especially their wide receivers coach. Also, coach Trooper Taylor is cool."
Auburn: "I have visited there and their football facility, it's a great facility. It's very nice."
Ole Miss: "I've visited their facilities probably three times. I like their coaches, too, especially coach Hugh Freeze."
Texas Tech: "They pass so much. They pass like 80 percent of the time."
Davis has not yet scheduled any official visits, but hopes to in the near future.
Davis, who also has offers from Alabama, South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Mississippi State and others, was electrifying at the Southeastern Select 7-on-7 at Hoover High on Thursday, catching the winning touchdown for his team with seconds left in a 27-25 win over Suwannee (Ga.) North Gwinnett.
Davis is rated as the No. 7 overall prospect in the state of Tennessee by Rivals.com.
