Memphis snags another

It's official, the Memphis Tigers are on a roll. The Tigers picked up their third commitment of the week over the weekend and this one may be the biggest up to this point for the Tigers, both literally and figuratively.
Cordova, Tenn., offensive lineman Darius Myers is one of the top offensive lineman in the Volunteer State and this weekend he made a commitment. The question now is whether or not it's going to stick.

"I did commit to Memphis over the weekend," Myers said. "It's not a done deal though, it's just a soft commitment and I told the coaches that I would be taking my other two official visits."
The 6-foot-4.5, 315-pound Myers ran a 5.31 second 40-yard dash at the Atlanta NIKE camp. He also ran a 5.62 second shuttle and had a 24-inch vertical jump.
"I am going to be taking an official visit to Ole Miss this weekend and one to Tennessee next weekend," Myers said. "Those are the only two other schools that I am considering, but right now I am committed to play for Memphis."
Myers is ranked as the No. 20 player in the state of Tennessee and the No. 45 offensive guard in the country by Rivals.com.
"I really liked the people and the players at Memphis," Myers said. "I feel like I really fi in there and it is a place that I feel like I could play early, while some of the other schools on my list are pretty deep. They have a really good weight program and know how to develop their players. I also like the type of offense they run."
