Memphis picks up Magnolia LB

Since last Saturday the commitments have been rolling in for the entire state of Tennessee. The Vols have picked up five commitments over the last week, the Vanderbilt Commodores have also picked up a commitment, but one team in the state that is quietly having a great week is the Memphis Tigers.
Olive Branck, Miss., outside linebacker Jeremy Rockette took his official visit this past weekend to Memphis and to say he came away impressed might be an understatement.

"I committed to Memphis on my official visit this weekend," Rockette said. "This was the first visit I have taken and it went great. I am not going to take any other official visits or anything like that, I am going to Memphis."
At 6-foot-3, and 200 pounds, Rockett runs the 40-yard dash in 4.6 seconds. Although being recruited as a strong safety or blitzing outside linebacker, he was named first ream all region as a junior defensive end.
"I really like the style of defense that they play and how they use their linebackers," Rockette said. "There are a lot of nice guys on the team and I just felt real comfortable around the program. Coach West is a great guy and I know that I wouldn't mind playing for him over the next four years."
A four year starter for Olive Branch, he is currently rated the No. 29 prospect in Mississippi, after recording eight sacks and 44 tackles (18 solos) last season.
