Memphis picks up Louisiana OL

Baton Rouge (La.) Southern Lab offensive guard Ronald Leary has made a decision to play college football in Conference USA. The 6-foot-2, 343-pounder made a verbal commitment to Memphis during his official visit this weekend.
"I did commit," Leary said. "They are looking at me to play guard. This is it for me, this is my final decision."

Leary said he sat down and talked with Tigers head coach Tommy West shortly before departing Sunday morning.
"We just talked about how I liked the visit," he said. "Things like that."
An outstanding official visit was enough to seal the deal for Leary.
"The visit went real good," he said. "Everything was nice. The coaches, the facilities, everything."
Many aspects of the visit stood out.
"We got here Friday and that was just a social thing," he said. "Saturday, we did all of the sightseeing and things like that. We went to the Memphis basketball game against Southern Miss at the FedEx Forum and that was real nice. After that, we went out with our hosts."
Leary is a two-star rated prospect according to Rivals.com.
