Memphis picks up big verbal

Memphis picked up a huge verbal commitment from one of its hometown stars this weekend.
“I committed on my visit,” said three-star Memphis (Tenn.) Melrose all-purpose back Joseph Doss. “While I was there, there was no doubt in my mind that was the place for me.

"They had a great year last season, a big turnaround, and I think they're coaches are building for a big future. I want to be part of that.
"Plus, they have a neat offense. It's a good fit for me. D'Angelo Williams was my host while I was there, and he was telling me how it's helped him be successful."
Doss picked the Tigers over Louisville, Kentucky, South Carolina, Arkansas and Memphis. He had visits scheduled for the Wildcats and Gamecocks the next two weekends, but says he won't likely take those.
"I think I'm done," he said. "I'm where I want to be."
As a senior, Doss rushed for 1,328 yards and 18 touchdowns.
