Memphis OT is emerging

College interest is rising for Memphis (Tenn.) Memphis University School offensive tackle Daniel Cunningham. The 6-foot-6, 270-pounder is in the process of making the transition from tight end to tackle and that is getting a number of program's attention.
"I've got no offers, I'm talking to all of the coaches that come in," he said. "Yale's coach called and I'm hearing from a couple other Ivy Leagues who are looking at me.

"I think Duke was interested a bit. I'm still not loving any one college, I'm open to anything."
Does Cunningham like anybody?
"I'm a Tennessee fan," he said. "My dad went there and A lot of people in my family went there. I live in Tennessee."
Cunningham is looking at a few visits this summer to Duke, Princeton and Yale. He also mentioned the possibility of more trips in July if they are available.
Last season, Cunningham played tight end, but most colleges are looking at him to be a lineman.
"A lot of schools want me to be an offensive tackle," he said. "My high school coaches might actually be moving me. I may go to camps as a tackle.
"I think I'm a pretty good blocker and I'm mainly used for blocking. When I do catch the ball, I'm hard to take down."
