Memphis (Tenn.) Whitehaven linebacker Tenarius Wright has picked up several scholarship offers, including one recent offer from a Southeastern Conference program. The 6-foot-2, 219-pounder also is getting attention from a number of additional schools.
"I received an offer from Ole Miss last week," he said. "I also have offers from Miami (verbal), Mississippi State, Indiana and Arkansas. Georgia, Tennessee and Auburn also have done some recruiting with me."
Rebels assistant coach Hugh Freeze is Wright's Ole Miss recruiter of record.
"I went down for their skills camp," Wright said. "They I went back a couple of days later for a 7-on-7 camp. After that camp, they offered me a scholarship."
Wright currently has no leader, but there is no question what conference he would like to play in.
"Playing in the ACC is something I would like to do," he said. "But playing the SEC is something that I would love to do."
Wright will camp at LSU and Mississippi State later this summer and hopes to make an unofficial visit to Alabama.
There are several things that are going to be important to him when he goes to pick a college.
"The reputation of putting players in the NFL as far as sending defensive players to the NFL is important," he said. "I also want to go to a school that is going to put me on a good career path. I want to be a criminal defense lawyer."
Wright is a three-star prospect according to Rivals.com.
