Memphis lands Florida WR

On Tuesday, Memphis picked up a big recruit out of the class of 2011. One day later, the Tigers picked up their second commitment out of the class of 2010. Dramon Grady out of Deland, Fla. let the Memphis coaches know his decision on Wednesday becoming the second wide receiver commit of the 2010 class.
"I just committed to Memphis today," Grady said. "The coaches were talking to me and telling me that they were losing three of their key receivers next year and they said I could really come in and help them out."

Grady is an intriguing prospect that has flown below the recruiting radar. One reason for that low profile is the limited amount of balls that were thrown his way as a junior. Grady only caught nine passes in the run-heavy Deland offense but he took those nine receptions 230 yards and scored one touchdown.
This season, Grady hopes to see more action. He is certainly capable of making the impact. At 6-foot-6 205 pounds, with 4.54 speed, Grady is a rare athlete. He has the ability to make big plays with his length and athleticism but he also is willing to do the dirty work.
"When we run the ball, I don't mind blocking," he said. "When I get thrown the ball I really just like to go up and get it."
With offers from Colorado State and Purdue, other schools have expressed interest in Grady. With more options possibly coming down the line, Grady plans to keep an open mind to other schools. He also has plans to take his first visit to the Memphis campus during the fall.
