In His Words: “My recruiting has picked up quite a bit since the offseason started. We had a few coaches come through at school, Northwestern, Cincinnati and Memphis are just a few.”

On which school has shown the most attention: “Coach Silverfield from Memphis has come through multiple times. He’s a great coach. I can certainly see development from their offensive line as the year went along. I know some guys who are going there that I train with as well. It’s close to home but it’s not right in my backyard and that’s another thing I like about. I went down for the Kansas game. It was a blowout so we left at halftime but it was a great atmosphere and there was a ton of fans and a good tailgate scene, which I didn’t’ really expect. It helps to see that the fans care about the program. It means a lot that they were my first offer. Knowing that they’re taking a chance on me shows that they really believe in me as a player.”

Rivals Reaction: Memphis has done a great job of increasing its recruiting efforts in the state of Tennessee over the past two classes and Mabry appears to be a prime target in the 2018 class. The early offer and attention could play major dividends for the Tigers in the long run.
