Memphis in good shape with Kidd

Kenneth Kidd is spending a year at New Berlin (N.Y.) Milford Academy after coming out of Crete Monee in Illinois last year.
The move seems to be working out pretty well for him. The 6-foot, 185-pound back is drawing some serious looks from schools and he's claiming offers from New Mexico State and a few FCS programs.

One school is standing out above the rest.
"My favorite is pretty much Memphis ," Kidd said. "I just like the location and the atmosphere. I like that it's a rebuilding program. I feel like I can help them rebuild by coming in. I feel like they're up-and-coming. I just like the school spirit and I follow the basketball team a lot."
Kidd has to return to his Illinois home for the week because of family issues but after that he plans to visit Memphis all of next weekend. That will just be an unofficial visit.
The week before last Kidd visited Western Kentucky .
"I was supposed to go to the Kentucky-Vanderbilt game (at Kentucky)," he said. "But I couldn't make it because my dad had to work. When I come back I know I also have something with Northern Illinois ."
While Kidd is drawing more interest now than he did last year he hasn't been a feature back this year. Milford splits carries between several players but Kidd is averaging eight yards per carry.
