Memphis adds three-star ATH

Three-star Columbus (Miss.) athlete Gabe O’Neal has pulled the trigger on his college decision.
“I’m going to sign with Memphis,” he said. “It came down to them and Mississippi State, but in the end they were the best fit for me. They wanted me the most, and I liked them the most the whole time.

“I think their coaches are bringing in a lot of good players, and their program is on the rise.”
He had also been considering LSU, Ole Miss and Southern Miss.
O'Neal said he plans to play outside linebacker with the Tigers. He was a dual-threat quarterback and linebacker for Columbus, recording close to 1,000 yards rushing and more than 100 tackles as a senior.
He is rated the No. 47 athlete in the nation by Rivals.com.
