The Memphis coaching staff continues to hit the JUCO trail is it steadily builds up its football class for 2009. The latest addition will be coming to Memphis out of Coffeyville (Kan.) Coffeyville C.C. where he will be starting his first year at the Kansas JUCO power after transferring from Robert Morris College. The addition is Jacky Candy, originally out of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.

Candy sat out last season after transferring from Robert Morris where he had a good freshman season with two interceptions.
"With me you're getting someone who just plays hard and works hard," he said. "I just do what I do on the field. I'm a big hitter and I'm a coverer. I can cover anybody."
Candy, who runs a 4.5 40, doesn't plan on looking around following his commitment to the Tigers.
"I'm comfortable with my decision," he said. "Right now my focus is on Coffeyville and our coming season. If anyone else comes and offers I may listen but I may not. I feel like I'm in the right place."
Candy has yet to visit Memphis but hopes to do so either in the fall or in December.
