Memorable season for Jersey back

With Ramsey (N.J.) Don Bosco Prep reloading from year to year, at times a player does not get an opportunity to shine until their senior season. This was the case for running back Paul Canevari, who made the most of his time on the field this fall, and in turn has recently picked up his first offer and a host of serious interest from other schools.
"Recruiting is starting to pick up now," said Canevari. "During the season a lot of schools weren't allowed to talk and I was more focused on the season."

Canevari, 6-foot-0 and 207 pounds, received his first offer from Akron last week, and has seen increased interest from North Carolina, Syracuse, Pittsburgh, Central Florida and Colorado. At his size, Canevari has the versatility that many schools look for.
"I'm being recruited as a running back, some schools as a fullback, and others as an athlete," said Canevari. "I'd prefer running back."
All of this new interest comes because of his memorable senior season, where he rushed for 1,750 yards and 36 touchdowns, during yet another undefeated season for Don Bosco Prep.
"It was just a great season," said Canevari. "We came together as a team, even though we were young. My line made it possible for me and I love them all."
Canevari did not take any visits during the fall, and does not have any scheduled at this time. He is hoping to schedule visits to both Akron and North Carolina in the near future.
