Meltons stock is rising fast

Houston (Texas) Langham Creek wide receiver Tyler Melton had been turning his big junior season into legitimate college interest. However, that interest just turned into two quick scholarship offers that just arrived this past week.
Melton hauled in 70 receptions for 936 yards and 15 touchdowns as just a junior at Langham Creek. Apparently schools like Iowa State and Air Force were impressed enough to make his first two offers a reality.

"I was excited because it's my first two offers," Melton said. "I'm interested in both schools and really all of the schools out there right now."
One school in particular has been on his mind way before he started playing varsity football. With a lot of family on the East Coast, Melton says that Virginia Tech has always been his favorite.
"I've grown up watching them," Melton said about the Hokies. "They've been talking to me and they just said that they're still evaluating my film. They have to talk to their head coach as well."
So far Melton has taken unofficial visits to Texas A&M and Texas Tech.
"I liked both of those schools," he said. "As for any future visits, I'm pretty much waiting until all the summer camps start. Then I'll figure out what I want to do."
Melton says he'd like to have his decision made before the season starts as he is planning on a December graduation.
