"I committed to Boston College," said the 6-foot-0, 190-pounder. "I like the fact that they're moving to the ACC, the academics are top notch and I get to stay close to home. I liked all the schools I visited, but when talking things over with my family, BC was the top choice for all of us."
Megwa chose the Eagles over offers from Maryland, Syracuse, Wisconsin and others. He visited Maryland, BC and Wisconsin before making his choice.
"I liked all of them," he said. "Each had something special to offer, but I just liked BC better. I wanted to study Kinesiology or Sports Medicine. I can't do Kinesiology at BC but I can do pre-med and become a doctor if I want. I just know that at BC I'll get a great education and, even if football doesn't work out, I'll have set myself up for success."
Megwa finished last year with 331 yards receiving and 14 touchdowns. Defensively, he had six interceptions and four of them were returned for scores. He is ranked as the No. 12 player in New York State.
