Recruiting wrap: Hall is just getting started with the recruiting process and has no frontrunners at this time. Major programs from the SEC, Big Ten, Big 12 and of course all the Pac-12 schools have already offered. Playing with 2017 teammates Joseph Lewis and Greg Johnson is being seriously considered.

Analyst's take: Hall is a classic outside receiver who has great length, impressive speed and is a matchup nightmare for cornerbacks because of his tremendous catch radius. Bigger corners have no chance staying with him on deep routes. Small corners get outmaneuvered because of Hall’s size and wiry strength. The Hawkins receiver also has a lot of want-to in his game, strives for perfection in everything he does and looks to dominate every time he steps on the field.

Why he’s a five star: “Hall is a big, athletic long strider who has huge, reliable hands and is a quarterback’s best friend. He doesn’t look like he’s a burner, but he gets a step or two on most because he covers so much ground with so few strides. He can make difficult catches and his body control is off the charts.” – Rivals.com National Recruiting Director Mike Farrell

His coach says: “There is a lot of good stuff to say. As far as comparisons, I instantly think of A.J. Green. When we first started him in football in eighth grade, you could tell Jalen could be very special. He has deceptive speed, he could grow another inch or two, he’s definitely putting on weight and he’s an ultimate competitor. The good thing is that Jalen has Joseph to make him better every day. He’s so competitive and he wants to be the best, Joseph helps him get better. And he does the same thing for Joseph. He’s a tremendous athlete, hard worker, he wants to be the best and is never satisfied. He could become the next A.J. Green-type receiver if he keeps working hard and keeps the same mindset.” – Coach Malik James, Augustus Hawkins

Odds and ends: Hall finished with more than 1,000 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns in only 10 games during his sophomore season. Augustus Hawkins is a new school with its opening in 2011 and the first year for its football program was 2012. Hall is close to 30 offers already. Recent recruit comparison: Malachi Dupre, LSU
