Meeks returns from second official

Four-star safety Jonathan Meeks took his second official visit over the weekend. The 6-foot-2, 185-pounder out of Chatham (Va.) Hargrave Military Academy made his way to NC State over the weekend.
"It went well, it was a good visit," he stated. "I got there Friday night and I went to a team meeting. Then on Saturday I hung out with some of the players including my hosts Jevon Walker and Terrell Manning. We went out after the game too.

"It was cool hanging out with those guys. They showed me everything and taught me everything they know about the school. They told me how they have a chance to be real good in the future because they have a whole lot of good freshmen, plus Coach O'Brien is a good coach."
The No. 18 prep school prospect took in the Wake Forest game as well.
"It was a great game, they beat Wake Forest, so that was good," he said. "The safeties played real well. I like how they move the safeties around. They don't have a lot of depth there either. There is a chance for me to come in and play. The defensive coaches are great too."
Before heading out, Meeks met with head coach Tom O'Brien.
"It was good talking to him," he said. "He talked to me about my role and how I fit in at NC State and the future of the team. He also told me about his military stuff since I was at Hargrave, that was good."
What is next for Meeks?
"I'm probably going to take a visit to Tennessee next," he said. "I'm still looking at taking all five officials.
"I just added Penn State and Kansas offers in the past two or three weeks. I'm excited about them, they are big offers."
The prep prospect recently finished up the season with a 9-1 mark.
"I loved it at Hargrave," he said. "I got to play with a lot of great guys I'd never meet from Oregon and Texas. I think I learned a lot."
Meeks plans to enroll wherever he decides in January.
