MDs Ward is a CB to watch

Cornerback Cornelius Ward is a huge cornerback prospect out of Fort Washington (Md.) Friendly. Friendly head coach Marcus Berry believes the 6-foot-2, 175-pounder has tremendous upside for the next level.
"He's unbelievable because he is a very physical cover corner that is smart," he said. "The coaches alone will be impressed by his size, but then add to that his long arms and his very physical nature and he's great. He is a can't miss cornerback with his size, speed and toughness. He'll get up in your face and has done a lot of it since we do bump coverage. He is not afraid of anyone.

"Vincent Hill is one of the best receivers on the East Coast and Cornelius goes toe to toe with him in practice. It's a war when they go up against each other."
Ward has received mail from schools including Boston College, Connecticut, Maryland, North Carolina, Pittsburgh and Virginia. Berry confirmed that at this time he has no favorites.
The cornerback prospect plans to take in the Nike Camp at Penn State along with a local combine at Greenbelt High School. This summer he'll be at Virginia and Maryland for camps.
Ward was named second team all-county as a junior.
Ward also boasts an impressive 3.3 GPA and he currently is considering graduating in December.
