MDs Knox Jr. adds third offer

Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha safety Jeff Knox Jr. added a third offer to his resume recently. The latest scholarship for the 6-foot-2, 190-pounder comes from the Big Ten.
"I've got three offers, Maryland, Pittsburgh and Penn State," he stated. "Penn State offered me last week.

"They are close to homes, and that's the thing I look at. I like the place too. I was supposed to go up there on Saturday, but they cancelled their junior days for the week. I'm trying to get up there next week."
Lots of other schools are eyeing Knox as well.
"I'm hearing from Virginia Tech, NC State, Iowa, Wake Forest and Rutgers," he said. "They have all talked about offering during the summer. I just had surgery on my shoulder and they want to see how I'm doing. That's cool with me."
Two schools appear to have a strong advantage in the early going.
"Penn State and Pittsburgh are my two top schools," he said. "I'll probably end up going to one of those two. I'm from Pennsylvania and it's close to home, I'm from Pittsburgh. I'm looking to get back up north. Plus, all my family is up there."
Coming back from the shoulder injury, Knox is working his way back into track and expects to participate in meets next week.
