It's been well over a month since Rivals last heard from Germantown (Md.) Seneca Valley safety Xavier Hughes. The 6-foot-1, 158-pounder has added two more offers and is gaining more interest.
"I had offers from West Virginia, Akron and Buffalo and added Ohio and Eastern Michigan to the list," he said. "I'm also talking to Syracuse, Maryland, Duke, Boston College, Virginia Tech and Rutgers. They all sound very interested in me."
With five offers in toe, Hughes plans to make his way to some schools this summer.
"I'm planning on going to camps," he said. "I want to go to Ohio State, Maryland, Rutgers and probably Virginia Tech."
At this time, the Maryland prospect doesn't claim true leaders, but is high on a couple schools.
"I really like the coaches at Eastern Michigan and of course I'm big on West Virginia," he said. "I went down there and loved that school. I felt so welcome and they have nice facilities. It's a great place to be."
