MD tackle starts to consider official visits

Offensive tackle Josh White out of Salisbury (Md.) Wicomico recently announced a top three that includes Duke, Temple and North Carolina. What makes the three schools stand out to the 6-foot-4, 281-pounder and is anyone else in the picture?
"I'm still focusing on those three schools and I'd say they are my top three," he said. "I have offers from Temple and Duke and a verbal from North Carolina. The coaches from UNC have told me they will watch me during my senior season before offering.

"I like those three for a few reasons. North Carolina and Duke aren't in a big city, but nearby which means I should be able to find a job I want. They are also good schools academically. Temple has a very solid computer tech program and that interests me a lot."
The two-star prospect hasn't really thought about official visits yet.
"I'm working on them now, trying to schedule them in between my classes and schedule," he said. "I think a majority of them will be during the season."
Meanwhile, a couple other schools continue to show interest in White.
"I've been hearing a lot more from Illinois and Connecticut," he stated. "They both want me to come up for games. I think they are going to look at me more this season before offering."
On the field, White is keeping busy as his team is just a week away from kicking off the season.
"We had our first scrimmage and won 14-0," he said. "I'm playing a little bit of tight end this year and it is weird going from straight blocking to receiving. The coaches plan to use me there throughout the season. Aside from that, I really am trying to improve on my run and pass blocking this season."
