MD, FSU final two for Owens

Offers poured in this year for Jacksonville (Fla.) Wolfson wide receiver Rod Owens. Now there are two schools still in the running to become his college home.
"Florida State and Maryland are the top two for sure," Owens said. "I'm going to visit Florida State this weekend and I won't take any other visits. Right now I don't know when I will make my final decision. Recruiting has been a long process. I'm getting tired of all the calls."

Owens already visited Maryland on Dec. 10. What has he liked about the two Atlantic Coast Conference schools?
"Both schools have really good coaches and I like what I have heard about how I would fit into their systems," Owens said. "Both are good. They are even right now for me. I don't have one above the other."
The three-star wideout is ranked as the 44th receiver in the country by Rivals .com.
Wolfson finished the regular season 7-4 and then was eliminated in the first round of the Florida state high school playoffs.
Among the schools that have offered Owens are South Carolina, Clemson, Ole Miss, North Carolina and North Carolina State.
Will any other schools jump into Owens' recruiting picture late?
"No, I'm down to Florida State and Maryland," Owens said.
