MD end schedules two more officials

Defensive end Dalonte Wallace out of Greenbelt (Md.) Eleanor Roosevelt has scheduled his final two official visits. The 6-foot-0, 199-pounder plans to take trips to the MAC and Big East in the coming weeks.
"Recruiting has been going well," he said. "It's coming down to the wire. I've got a visit to Buffalo on January 18th and then a trip to Connecticut on the 25th. Buffalo has offered, but Connecticut has not. They are bringing me up on an official and working their way down the chart. I know they need a rush end and a will linebacker. I think I'm athletic enough to possibly play either."

Wallace took trips in the past month or so to Illinois and Virginia. Are they still in the picture?
"Virginia doesn't have a need anymore and Illinois offered too many guys already," he said. "Illinois said they are still trying to see what happens and if a scholarship opens up. It is an iffy situation."
Currently there are no favorites for Wallace, although he does have an interest in a couple schools.
"I won't be able to have a favorite until I know everything that is on the table," he said. "I do like Buffalo. They have a great opportunity for me to play there and have one of my former teammates up there.
"I also like Eastern Michigan's program. There is a chance for playing time there."
