MD backer Houston is taking his time
Clarksburg, Md. linebacker Stefan Houston is slowing things down. The 6-foot-3, 200-pounder still claims three scholarships, but is contemplating his next move.
"Right now I'm just getting recruited, going through the process," he said. "I've got three offers from East Carolina, Maryland and West Virginia. I still have to visit East Carolina."

Houston visited both of his other scholarships not too long ago.
"I went to them about a month and a half ago," he said. "I feel very comfortable with those two, looking at them academic wise and both are good schools."
In terms of East Carolina, when is a visit happening?
"I'm not sure yet."
Houston noted plans to take official visits, but has yet to set them up.
In addition, Temple along with a few other schools are showing interest.
Previously, Houston noted Maryland and West Virginia were high on his list, but he's backing away from that now.
"I'm pretty open about what schools I am choosing to go to, I just want more time," he said. "I just am really trying to play football and get my grades right. I want a good academic portion; I'm looking for a school that has what I want to major in, criminal justice. Location is a big deal too."
With respect to the season, Houston is looking ahead.
"I'm just making sure we are focused going into this season," he said. "I've seen an improvement speed wise, strength wise in everything I'm doing."
