MD back will take his first official this weekend

Running back Jarren Brown out of Springdale (Md.) Flowers has scheduled his first official visit. The 5-foot-8, 179-pounder will be heading to the Big East this weekend for a visit.
"I'm visiting Syracuse this weekend, it's my first official visit," he stated. "I decided to take a visit there since that's the school that is recruiting me the hardest and I haven't been to it.

"I've been up to Boston College and Northwestern on unofficials. I also haven't been to Navy yet. I think I may take an official next weekend on the 20th out there as well. On these visits, I'd like to see the academic setup, team morale, facilities and stuff like that. I'd also like to see them win."
Even though he's taking officials, Brown confirmed he isn't ready to make a decision.
"I'll probably hold off on committing until after the season."
Currently the two-star prospect holds offers from Syracuse, Navy and JMU. What are Boston College and Northwestern doing?
"They are in the process of watching my film and I should know whether they are going to offer me in the coming weeks," he said. "If those schools offer it would give me a lot more to think about before I decide."
At this time, Brown maintains there are no favorites.
"I'm wide open and no school leads as of now."
Brown has helped Flowers to an undefeated season up to this point.
"We've done really well," he said. "We're in a legal action and may have to forfeit three games due to one of our players being ineligible. The school is appealing and I think it's going to be favorable for us. Either way we should be able to make it to the playoffs.
"I didn't really expect this team to be as good as they are. We have a lot of young players and everyone is contributing to our success.
"Right now I'm one of the top three in the county rushing. I have 80 carries for 625-yards and seven touchdowns. I also have two receptions for 56-yards. I'm getting the ball a lot more than last year and I'm a stronger runner."
