MD athlete is getting looks

Colleges are taking an interest in Upper Marlboro (Md.) Frederick Douglass athlete Emmanuel Smith. The 5-foot-9, 170-pounder has received looks from a number of colleges already across the country.
"He's getting interest from Indiana, East Carolina, Kansas State, Cincinnati, Iowa State and Memphis," his father Emmanuel Sr. said. "Nobody has offered yet, but we're actually scheduled to go to Maryland, Virginia and Penn State for camps."

Does he like anyone early?
"He likes Maryland, North Carolina, West Virginia and Virginia Tech."
But, what is Smith looking for in a school?
"He basically wants to go to a school where he can major in engineering cause he's very good at math," he said. "As far as football, he's been playing running back the last couple seasons, but his primary goal is to play as a defensive back and special teams guy."
A strong 3.0 GPA student too, Smith earned second team all-conference honors as a junior.
