McWilliams lands 17th offer

Not that long ago, junior defensive back Rico McWilliams of Hampton (Ga.) Lovejoy claimed one team - South Florida - as his leader.
On Monday, he told Rivals.com that no longer was the case.

"Right now, I like all my schools," McWilliams said. "I don't have a leader. Everybody is up there. Everybody is cool."
Why the change of direction?
"I just want to check out all my options," McWilliams said. "I'm not going to pull the trigger so quick. I still love the University of South Florida. But I'm kind of surprised because a lot of offers came so fast."
Monday morning, Ole Miss became the 17th school to offer.
"To be honest, every school is recruiting me hard," the 6-foot, 170-pound McWilliams said. "I talk to all my schools [that have offered] two times a week. Everybody is doing a good job. I love everybody."
Thus far, McWilliams has visited Clemson, South Florida and Vanderbilt. Of the three, only Clemson hasn't offered.
"I'm going to South Carolina on Friday," McWilliams said. "I'm going to try to go down to South Florida and Mississippi State, and back to Vandy again. I'm trying to get to most of the schools that have offered. We're going to do some trips this summer. I'm going to try to hit the closest ones. I'm not going to get to all of them, but the ones I like the most."
When will McWilliams narrow things down?
"The visits are going to tell everything," McWilliams said. "Probably before the season I'll have a top five. I don't know when I'll commit. When the time is right, I'll do it."
