McShea planning a busy summer

While he waits for his first offer, tight end Jameson McShea of Dorchester (Mass.) Boston College High School has recently hosted a number of college recruiters, and will be busy this summer with several summer camps.
"Recruiting has picked up significantly," said McShea. "I just talked to the Maryland coaches and they are really interested. It's looking like all of my offers are going to come during the camps."

With this in mind, McShea will hit the camp circuit hard this summer.
"I'm going to the Penn State, BC, Harvard, Northwestern and Maryland camps, all for just one day," said McShea, who mentioned that he is also receiving serious interest from Duke and Brown.
Many of these schools, and a few more, have already visited McShea this spring.
"There is a long list, but the ones I can think of are Maryland, UConn, BC, Harvard, Elon, Bucknell, Princeton, Syracuse, Nebraska and Northwestern."
Attending several summer camps, McShea is eager to prove his abilities.
"Well the last camp I went to I ran a bad 40 and I haven't been able to prove that I can run faster than that since last year," said McShea. "So I hope to show the coaches my 4.8 speed, like I know I can run. After working with speed coaches, my speed has increased quite a bit. I ran a 4.79 yesterday with my speed coach."
McShea has already had the opportunity to visit Duke, N.C. State, Maryland, Boston College, Harvard and Brown, and with several more trips lined up, he discussed if he has any favorites.
"I don't have any favorites," said McShea. "At this point I'm open to everything. I love all of the schools I've visited and I am just enjoying the process."
