McReynolds adds offer, gets UA invite

Washington (D.C.) St. John's College High junior defensive tackle Kevin McReynolds has pulled another offer in the past week. The 6-foot-2, 281-pounder also found out his status as an All-American.
"The Under Armor All-American game gave me an invite to play in the game," he said. "It's a really big honor. I worked hard to get this and this is just the beginning for me. I'm going to keep working as hard as I can. I've got more things I want to accomplish. I want to play in the USA vs. the World game. This is just the tip of the iceberg."

The All-American opportunity means a lot to McReynolds.
"I went down to Florida for the combine to get my name on the map and prove I could hang with the best in the country," he said. "I think I did just that. I have to say my trainer and defensive coordinator did an excellent job in getting me ready."
Just after the invite, an offer came for the lineman from Pittsburgh.
"I got an email last week and then Coach Wannstedt visited the school," he said. "The next day I got the offer."
McReynolds is impressed by the scholarship.
"It is a pretty big offer," he said. "It's my first Big East offer and I think other Big East schools are going to follow, particularly Connecticut and South Florida.
"I do think Pittsburgh is probably the next place I'm going to visit as well. I don't know when, but I can make that visit in a day."
